After partially completing Meng's Merkava IIID and now well on the way to completing the T-90A I feel like I can place them in quality molding etc. Other picking up a few issues with production quality (see the Meng T-90A log) I have found Meng's level of detail/thickness to be similar to Tamiya's but using a higher parts count. If I were to compare this Meng's T-90A with Trumpeters T-80BV, I would have to say Trumpeters is better with much finer and crisper detailing, It would be interesting to make a direct comparison to Trumpeters T-90A. In all, excellent quality for your money (if they can fix the production quality issue) and considering Meng is still a fairly new company they are a welcome addition to the hobby.
After having a move around of the study for better fit I find my work bench is no longer right under the window which means poorer ventilation while airbrushing which SWiMBO rightly objects too. So while waiting on funds to make a DIY extractor fan and having one build waiting for its main coat (Firefly), and another waiting on a primer (Jagdpanther) I took another kit of the shelf of shame, Dragons (or in this case cyberhobby's Orange Box) Maus.
